Sharon is an active member of the renowned Rev James Cleveland’s Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc., Northern California Chapter, where in 1993 she received certification in the Academic Division of the workshop for completing Directing I & II under the instruction of Quincy Fielding, Sr.

Sharon is also currently an active member of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Fairfield, California (Dr. Claybon Lea, Jr., Senior Pastor).  She is the Choir Coordinator within the Mass Choir and Sanctuary Choir and also serving as Project Manager of Events within the Worship & Arts Division.  Sharon was the Director/Musician for the Women’s Choir for the Berkeley Mount Zion Baptist Church (Dr. M.T. Thompson, Pastor).  She also has served as Section Leader in the Northern California Chapter Mass Choir and local church choirs.

 Sharon has formally studied, trained and has been guided in vocal music under the tutelage of William Taylor and Victor Chacon at Boise State University on a full music scholarship as a Music Major concentrating in Voice Performance/Choral Directing.  She studied, sang and acted in college for various theatre plays and community musical performances as well as traveled extensively within the New England and New York areas and Europe.
